His extensive knowledge, paired with our door-to-door transportation, ensures your journey through Oregon’s wine country is seamless and enriching.

Tailored Wine Tour Itineraries

Drawing from 30 years of expertise in organizing local winery tours, we will curate your experience to include:

  • Sampling Oregon’s finest Pinot Noir.
  • Visiting wineries with the most picturesque views and fine wines.
  • Exploring small indie, boutique back-road wineries known only to insiders.
  • Customizing tours based on your taste preferences.
  • Introducing you to the best value wineries.
  • Covering specific areas like Dundee Hills, Yamhill-Carlton, Eola Hills, and Washington County.
  • Providing a diverse overview with reasonable tasting fees.

Enhanced Tour Options Beyond The Wine

When you notify us of your tour in advance, you can enhance your Pinot Patrol Wine Tour experience with these additional options:

  • Enjoy a lunch at a local restaurant or a picnic lunch.
  • Visit a charming local deli to pick up lunch on our way to wine country.
  • Explore wine-making facilities or enjoy special private tastings (additional fees may apply).
  • Substitute one tasting stop to go bird watching in the region’s lush wetlands, equipped with our wildlife spotting scopes.

Your Day with Pinot Patrol Wine Tours

10:00 AM: Pickup at your hotel or residence. Drive west through the beautiful countryside of Yamhill or Washington County. This area produces the majority of Oregon’s famous Pinot Noir. En route, your guide will provide commentary on the history of Oregon wines and explain what to expect in the tasting rooms for anyone experiencing wine tasting for the first time. We are happy to take input on the wineries we visit. It is best to do this ahead of time because we need to make appointments for our visits.

11:00 AM: Arrive at our first vineyard for tasting, possibly the award-winning Rex Hill. The tastings usually start with the lighter white wines and continue through the wonderful subtle reds.

12:45 PM: Arrive at our second tasting room, perhaps the beautiful Tresori Vineyards. You may enjoy the grounds here because there are outstanding views of the beautiful rolling Willamette Valley.

2:15 PM: The wine country offers many inviting restaurant choices for lunch. Our favorites are the Dundee Bistro, owned by the Ponzi family of the famous Ponzi Vineyards, Trellis, and the Red Hills Deli/Market. When registering for the tour, EcoTours will be happy to provide details of the various lunch options.

3:45 PM: After lunch, we will find another excellent winery. Jeff prefers wineries that feature vineyard views and terrific wines. If you have something in mind, make sure you tell Jeff what wineries you have in mind, and he will be happy to help.

5:00 PM: We’ll begin the ride home to Portland, happy and content.

5:00 – 6:00 PM: Arrive back at your hotel or residence depending on location, traffic, and the pacing of the tour.
