We think that downtown or inner NW Portland are the best areas to stay in for both picking up guests for tours and their experience visiting our area. Let them know we gave you the numbers.
Where to stay in the Downtown?
In the most affordable category in downtown we recommend:
1. Downtown Value Inn at 503-226-4751
2. Mark Spenser at 503-224-3293
3. Travelodge at 503-226-1121
4. EconoLodge at 503-226-7646
5. University Place 503-221-0140
The Northwest neighborhood is also a nice area to stay in because of it’s “walk-ability” and access to things.
Where to stay in the Northwest?
In the most affordable category in NW Portland we recommend:
1. Silver Cloud at 503-242-2400 (They have a discount for EcoTours guests)
2. Holiday Inn Express at 503-484-1100
3. The Inn at Northrup Station 503-224-0543
4. Park Lane Suites 503-226-6288
Another easy and convenient area is the Lloyd Center/Convention Center area. We think that one of the most affordable places to stay in all of Portland which is still fairly convenient, but not as good access to the mass transit is the EconoLodge Convention Center on NE Broadway at 503-284-5181.
Let the hotels know that EcoTours sent you and ask the hotels if there is a discount for AAA or AARP members and it may save you a bit.
